The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence. When mindfulness embraces those we love, they will bloom like flowers.

~Thich Nhat Hanh
(Vietnamese Monk, Activist and Writer. b.1926)

Holistic Resources Foundation Doctrine
12 Universal Principles Adopted by HRF*

1.  Mindfulness:  the path of consciousness

2.
Reverence for life:  recognizing the divinity within the person and the distinction between the person and the only possible enemy as the programming by which the person operates his/her life; choosing actions intended to love and support or defend oneself and others if necessary, and if possible, winning over, even the aggressor, with actions of love and kindness

3.  Organicity:  the internally originated and directed creation, maintenance, and evolution of living systems

4.  Mind-Body Holism:  the recognition of the influence of each aspect of  living on all other aspects, within the individual, and within all living systems

5.  Unity:  the consciousness of participating in the whole ~ involves merging  with one's surroundings and creating a psychic wholeness which, as carried forward, connects all living systems.  This principle includes the belief that when one person can do something, others can learn how to do it;  human excellence can be systematically studied, then reproduced

6.  Abundance:  the natural state of the universe ~ perfection that is available and ready to be received; whatever thoughts are focused upon expand

7.  Gratitude:  the willingness to perceive whatever is present as necessary for consciousness growth and/or inherently enjoyable

8.  Tithing:  the practice of consciously passing on the abundance, knowing that to hold back creates the illusion of scarcity and blocks energy flow

9.  Forgiveness:  the intention toward complete suspension of judgment and  acknowledgment of the perfection of the experience; letting go of  resistance

10.  Taking responsibility:  choosing limiting beliefs and actions triggers the separateness of sadness, fear, and anger which creates unhappiness; choosing beliefs that expand consciousness and lead to unifying actions creates peace

11.  Positive intentions:  the understanding that beneath every thought, word, and deed is a beneficial positive intention to love and feel loved, to see
oneself as supported and supportive

12.  Spirituality:  the awareness that we are all spiritual beings in human
forms, and that the essence of all spiritual paths is an expression of
individuals seeking to awaken to their wholeness and their purpose in
 the divine plan

*Though universal and ancient in origin, gifted to us by all the great Masters and faiths of the Earth, these principles came into Holistic Resources Foundation as expressed by several teachers and organizations:  1: Buddha,  2: Gandhi,  1-5:  Ron Kurtz and the Hakomi organization;  6-9:  Arnold Patent teaching prosperity principles;  10-11:  Ken Keyes, Jr. Handbook to Higher Consciousness;  8-9:  Christ;  12:  Meher Baba
